Assess your current setup
Settings → Google → review accounts. List apps that depend on Play Services (banking, transit cards, etc.).

Level 1: Minimal changes
Disable location history and ad ID. Install F-Droid + Aurora Store. Replace apps with FOSS where possible (NewPipe for YouTube, etc.).

Level 2: /e/OS or LineageOS + microG
If your device is supported, flash /e/OS. Remove Google account; set up with /e/ account or your own email.

Level 3: GrapheneOS (Pixel)
Install via grapheneos.org/install. Enable sandboxed Google Play only if needed. Test banking apps.
